Hello and welcome to my site!
My name is Mairead Russell and as well as being a qualified Psychotherapist, NLP and EFT practitioner, I am also very passionate about living an ‘alternative’ life – and no, I am not referring to any music or dress sense, I’m specifically referring to a healthier, natural way to live our daily lives.
Mental well being, health, fitness, spirituality and inner strength are all things that make us who we are and by taking care of our mental, emotional and physical well being – naturally – we can enhance our overall well-being.
I will mention that I am vegan (going vegetarian at 15) and it is a continuation from this, that I felt compelled to become more alternative, thus reducing not only my carbon footprint and animal suffering, but reduce the impact of harsh everyday chemicals on me, my family and the environment. This blog is not about veganism, it’s about putting you and your health first, however most ideas I use will be vegan friendly!
Your health and well being are paramount to how you live your life,. Avoiding harsh chemical is a great way of enhancing health and avoiding toxic overload and using or creating natural alternatives to everyday products such as meals, cleaners, body lotions, toothpastes etc is the way forward to an alternative life style and increased health.
However there is more to what you put into and on your body when we think of health. There is also what you ‘put’ into your mind that has more of a effect on your overall health than what you eat, drink or do! So this blog will be looking out how you can help heal your mind too in order to heal your body (and if you didn’t know already – your mind controls your body and if you make changes within the mind, changes in our physical health happen as a result.
